Mix featuring Black Flag, Wipers, Death, No Age, Sonic Youth and others I can’t quite remember.
All vaguely “punk-rock”, imo.
(And yes, the title is a reference to this)

2666: A Novel by Roberto Bolaño
Have been for a while - and will do for a while longer!
About half way through, although I did take a break after the first two parts (it’s essentially four novels in one giant 900 page book) to read a few collections of short stories, so getting stuck back in now.
R.I.P. Bolaño; taken way too early :(

Three episodes in and I’m pretty sure this is one of the best TV series I’ve come across post-The Wire. Although I hear Glee is pretty good…..
So I’ve decided to come on Tumblr.
Sensible decision?
Seriously though, why the fuck did I eat all those cookies? I feel like I’m going to puke.
If you’re anything like me you start everyday with a promise that you’re going to be productive, that you’re going to do all your work, you’re going to drink water and not Coca Cola - or at the very least Diet Coke - and that you’re not going to eat an entire pack of Maryland cookies but three apples instead, and that you’re not going to waste your time masturbating or downloading musically illegally just because you’re bored, but instead that you’re going to go outside and enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine, that you’re going to smile at strangers and wish shopkeepers a good day and call people you know by their names and not be disinterested in or bored by what they say, and not be sullen but happy to be alive, to be here, now, alive, enjoying life.
But you don’t - at least not today.
day 01 - your favorite song
day 02 - your least favorite song
day 03 - a song that makes you happy
day 04 - a song that makes you sad
day 05 - a song that reminds you of someone
day 06 - a song that reminds of you of somewhere
day 07 - a song that reminds you of a certain event
day 08 - a song…
I shall be doing this starting tomorrow - I’ve drew the list up already, so hopefully won’t get to 14 and give up.
But I reserve the right to give up at 14.
So come on Icelandic Death Smog, take me.
I see no reason to live in this shitty world without all the Madlib albums I’ve downloaded :(

An alternative title for this post was “My Love For Zooey Deschanel & Ellen Page Takes Clichés To A Dangerous Level”
(I don’t know why I included the Miranda July book in there too - except, y’know, it’s pink and yellow)
Music critic Simon Reynolds assembles a mixtape which includes the likes of Ducktails, Ricardo Villalobos, Animal Collective, J Dilla and Ariel Pink.
Do you hate hidden tracks on albums as much as I do?

In the world of Ellen Page movies it ranks below Juno and Hard Candy but above Smart People
I go to bed and Godspeed reunite. WTF?
